Student Code of Conduct

At Caroline School of Legal Studies, we strive to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive academically, professionally, and personally. The Student Code of Conduct outlines the principles, standards, and expectations that govern student behavior within our institution. By adhering to this code, students contribute to a respectful and supportive community that upholds the values of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.

General Expectation

Students are expected to:

Respect for Others

  • Treat all members of the school community with respect, regardless of their background, race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation.
  • Refrain from any form of discrimination, harassment, or bullying, including verbal, physical, or cyberbullying.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that promotes diversity and understanding.

Academic Integrity

  • Maintain the highest level of academic honesty and integrity in all coursework and assessments.
  • Refrain from engaging in plagiarism, cheating, or any form of academic dishonesty.
  • Cite and attribute all sources used in academic work according to the appropriate referencing guidelines.

Professionalism

  • Behave in a professional manner within the school premises, during internships, and in any other professional settings.
  • Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
  • Dress appropriately, adhering to the school's dress code policy.

Reporting Violations

Students are encouraged to report any violations of the Student Code of Conduct promptly. To report a violation:

Document the Incident

  • Gather all relevant details about the incident, including dates, times, locations, and individuals involved.
  • Preserve any evidence, such as emails, messages, or photographs, that may support the report.

Contact the Appropriate Authority

  • Report the incident to the designated authority, such as a teacher, counselor, or school administrator.
  • If the violation involves a criminal offense, report it to the local law enforcement authorities.

Maintain Confidentiality

  • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of all parties involved in the investigation.
  • Refrain from discussing the details of the incident with individuals not directly involved in the investigation.

Cooperate with Investigations

  • Cooperate fully and honestly with any investigations or inquiries related to the reported incident.
  • Provide accurate information and support the school's efforts to resolve the matter.

Anonymous Reporting

Caroline School of Legal Studies understands the importance of providing a safe and secure environment for reporting violations. Students may choose to report incidents anonymously through the following channels:

  • Anonymous reporting hotline
  • Online reporting platform
  • Dedicated email address for anonymous reporting

Consequences of Violations

Violations of the Student Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, which may include, but is not limited to:

  • Verbal or written warning
  • Parental notification
  • Loss of privileges
  • Community service
  • Counseling or mentoring sessions
  • Suspension or expulsion from the school

The Student Code of Conduct at Caroline School of Legal Studies promotes a culture of respect, integrity, and professionalism. By upholding these principles, students contribute to a supportive learning environment that prepares them for successful careers in the legal field. It is the responsibility of each student to familiarize themselves with this code and adhere to its standards.
